The beginning of a fabulous day!

What a sunny morning! We gathered bright & early-  although some are just not morning people :)-  we had a mission, to participate in the Savannah Veterans Day parade. Our thanks are extended to Olde Savannah Trolley as our transportation & "float" in the parade. John Calvert, SAL commander, led the way driving his vintage jeep.

POST 154 SALUTES!

along the way . . .

Honoring the services of all former & active military personnel and pride of country and freedom, we passed out American made flags along the parade route. Parade goers proudly wearing their colors were given a shout out thanking them for their services!
Thanks again to our trolley driver for putting up with us ! A special thanks to Olde Savannah Trolley for supporting the vets!!
Old, young, in between...
we came out by the
hundreds to salute the fallen, the courageous, honoring them and a salute to our flag representing US all.

home again . . .

We crossed over the Lazaretto Bridge and were welcomed by the Tybee Lighthouse behind the legion displaying the flag in silent beauty. Also welcoming were Auxiliary gals that had given up their day at the parade to have a wonderful spread awaiting us- we knew we were home!
